WordPress Website Frequenty Asked Questions
Do I have to update plugins on my WordPress website?
As a part of our Watchdog system, we run all plugin updates for you on the same day they are released to keep your site as up-to-date as possible. You don't need to do a thing. We also keep the WordPress core up-to-date for you. Keeping things current let's us all sleep better. Nice, huh?
Can I install new themes or plugins myself?
For most of our clients, we turn off the ability to add new plugins on their sites. We do this for security reasons, as using bad plugins is probably the biggest cause of security problems on our network of servers these days. If you'd like to add functionality to your site just let us know and we'll help you choose the best way to go.
Why am I locked out of my site?
We take security seriously, and use a very simple plugin on all our sites called Limit Login Attempts. This plugin limits the number of incorrect login attempts to prevent bots from guessing your username / password combination. If you get locked out of your site, just give us a call and we'll help you get back to work!
