Upland Museum Pedestals

Water, Water Everywhere.
We’ve heard a couple of stories in the last month about museums experiencing major problems with water damage. In one case, the Mid-America All-Indian Center in Wichita, Kansas reached out to us to help them get their museum back up and running after a broken pipe severely warped most of their museum pedestals. Without pedestals, the MAAIC had no means for displaying their impressive collection of American Indian artifacts, and so they had to close the doors to their exhibit space while they renovated.
We were happy to help, and luckily enough, we had a solution close at hand: Upland museum pedestals.
Thanks to the generous support of the Wichita Community Foundation and the tireless work of executive director Sarah Adams and her staff, the Mid-America All-Indian Center held their grand reopening on April 8th, less than four months after the flooding.
We congratulate the museum staff, board of trustees and the citizens of Wichita for restoring the museum so quickly, and it’s our hope that the heirloom-quality build of all Upland products means the MAAIC will be able to rely on these pedestals for decades to come, no matter what chance throws at them.
